Will other children in the household be removed?
Again, this depends on personal circumstances. To remove other children in the household un-necessarily would be considered very poor practice and would obviously be avoided where ever possible.
It may be suggested that the alleged perpetrator leaves the house until further investigations can take place and planned arrangements can be made. Where circumstances suggest that the child and others in the household may be at risk this would obviously be the better course of action.
The guiding principle is to protect children and young people in the care of the Local Authority first - ask questions later.
