Membership of Fostering Support Ltd will provide an individually tailored package to enable and engage with Foster Carers and ensure that your voice in the process is not lost. Wherever you live, your membership will ensure the support you need is there when you need it. See Foster Carers Evaluations for an appreciation of the service provided.

It has always been the hope that Fostering Services (Local Authorities and Independent Fostering Agencies) would subscribe on their carers’ behalf, unfortunately this has not always been the case and Fostering Support Ltd receive a number of requests every year from distressed Foster Carers without financial backing. We believe that Local Authorities and Placing Agencies should make the commitment of corporate membership to their carers; we have found that where the opportunity for continued approval exists, through mediation to rebuild trust this commitment really counts.

If you are able to make representations to your Fostering Service to subscribe to Fostering Support Ltd we will be happy to attend and speak to service managers.

Fostering Support Ltd is the only organisation, which provides a dedicated service of support throughout Section 47 and Single Agency investigations. Because of misconceptions about the level of cover provided elsewhere, Foster Carers have found themselves exposed and vulnerable to de registration or even referral for Protection of Children Act Listing. Remember very few Foster Carers are subject to criminals proceedings but the consequences of de-registration following child protection concerns are just as serious.

As stated previously Debra Gibbs (Director) is happy to answer e-mail and telephone queries to help you find the support you need regardless of subscription. However as a service, this support is significantly restricted.
