Independent Support Annual Subscription

The 2010 squeeze in Public Sector Spending has forced FSL to consider a new way of ensuring the availability of Independent Support for Fostering Households subject to allegations and complaints: ISAS (Independent Support Annual Subscription) from FSL. ISAS will make sure that a high level of support will be maintained despite Local Authorities being asked to find Annual savings of around 25%.

This reduction threatened the availability of services commissioned from FSL (support, information, advocacy and advice) just when Foster Carers need it most. It is with this in mind that we are offering all foster carers the opportunity to subscribe themselves; a small annual fee, paid by majority to ensure a quality service for the minority as required.

Subscription is £52 per year, so just £1 per week, will ensure FSL (a leading provider of Independent Support in the UK) is available to you. We will visit you in your home to hear from your perspective what might have prompted an allegation, explain to you what will happen next and help you prepare. We will act as an advocate for you in meetings, help you write reports and if it comes to it, support you at Panel.
